Jr NTR is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Devara: Part 1 ahead of its release on September 27. He attended a promotional event in Chennai for the Tamil version of the movie.
When the RRR actor was asked about starring in a Tamil film, he stated, “If Vetri Maaran sir calls me, I will do a straight Tamil film.”
At the event, Jr NTR praised the cast and crew, expressing satisfaction at being part of the film’s core team. He encouraged the audience to recognise their efforts when the film releases on September 27.
Wrapping up the event, Jr NTR discussed the unification of Indian cinema across languages, remarking that while India may be divided by language, cinema has become unified post-‘Baahubali’.
Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor, set to make her South debut with Devara: Part 1, expressed her gratitude to the audience in near-perfect Tamil. She fondly remembered her mother, the legendary actor Sridevi, and shared that some of her best memories with her were in Chennai.
Janhvi thanked the audience for the love they had shown her mother, acknowledging that it shaped who they are today. She also hoped to receive the same love and promised to work hard to be worthy of it.
Apart from Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor, Kalaiyarasan, music director Anirudh Ravichander, cinematographer Ratnavelu, art director Sabu Cyril, and director Koratala Siva were present at the event.
Aside from Devara: Part One, Jr NTR is currently busy shooting for ‘War 2’ alongside Hrithik Roshan.
